I founded Elite Swimming Academy in 2007 with one clear mission: to transform the way people learn to swim.

A few months earlier, I had completed a solo English Channel swim in 14 hours. That experience completely changed my outlook on life and inspired me to share my knowledge, passion, and love for the water with others.

At the time, I was already teaching swimming, but I noticed a real gap in the market. Families and athletes wanted more than just standard group lessons. They wanted high-quality private coaching, smaller classes, five-star customer service, and faster results.

What started with just a handful of clients has grown into one of the UK’s leading private swim schools. Today, we teach over 1,000 children and adults every week. Our swimmers range from complete beginners through to fitness swimmers, triathletes, and even members of the British Team. Our success comes from combining innovative teaching techniques with world-class teachers and coaches, allowing every swimmer to progress quickly, grow in confidence, and enjoy their time in the water.

Giving back has always been central to what we do. Through extreme charity swims across the English Channel, Irish Channel, and Gibraltar Strait, we have raised and donated more than £100,000 to water-related and local charities such as WaterAid, East Anglia Children’s Hospice, Prostate Cancer Research and Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital. These challenges not only support vital causes but also inspire our swimmers to aim high and achieve great things themselves.

Even as we have grown, I have never wanted Elite Swimming Academy to lose the personal touch. Providing outstanding coaching, individual care, and an unforgettable customer experience has been at the heart of our ethos since day one and always will be.
