I became a Swimming Teacher when my children were learning to swim and in Swimming Club and found the whole subject fascinating. I had a history as a Nursery Nurse and realised, as my children were growing up, that I enjoyed the interaction with other children and making swimming fun for everyone from age 0 to 99.
I have spent the majority of my Swim Teaching life at Mount Kelly Swim Centre in Devon (formerly Kelly College) in a wide variety of teaching roles and feel that this has given me a solid grounding to approach each and every lesson with a fresh pair of eyes.
I feel that lessons should be fun which relaxes the learner, making the whole swimming process more enjoyable.
I also enjoy swimming myself, particularly open water events.
