I competed in swimming at a National level for 15 years. Then naturally I became lifeguard, scuba diver and finally a swim teacher. Following my passion and my empathy toward people and nature, I studied oceanography and conservation. I find a lot of enjoyment and passion in teaching and have been a coach for 8 years.
When teaching I am using a holistic approach based on Hallwick Concept and WATSU Aquatheraphy. I am a certified therapist for both of the methods.
You can view my website for more information on WATSU and Aquatic Bodywork services that I offer: http://kamaqua.uk/
I cover all aspects of swimmer development: physical, psychological, and social. I am able to create a safe and enjoyable environment for everybody. My class is a good place for development of specific areas such as coordination, stamina, respiratory system and sensory integration. Children with difficulties are warmly welcome. My strong advantage is a quick implementation of the most effective methods according to pupils abilities and levels. When I teach children I always try and work with their imagination, telling a story and playing games, which are actually all the proper exercises and skills but made with much more fun!
I also love teaching adults. Besides elementary teaching I am able to create workouts for my swimmers based on abilities, analysing strokes and technique.
