I have been a swimming teacher for 20 years now and worked for the Elite swimming academy for over 13 years. I have spent my whole life as a swimmer and keen sportsman. I have studied all areas of swimming and swimming safety. As a person of very high standards in my area of work, I pride myself on my knowledge of all strokes and swimming skills. Keeping up to date on all the new techniques and Fina laws. This helps me to improve my own style and that of my students. As swimming develops, so do my teaching skills. I am also a qualified trainer assessor for the STA and mentor to the ESA Team. So I am at the top of the coaching ladder now and still enjoy learning myself.
I have worked with children and adults of all ages and abilities since for years, teaching hundreds of participants during my years. I really enjoy sharing my knowledge and love for swimming and aquatics.
Seeing someone improve, swim with grace, skill and composure is what I strive to achieve. The speed and competitive edge is also what I enjoy seeing in the individuals that wish to move swimming on to the next level.
My success rate, moving my students up to swimming club is very high. This is down to my attention to fine detail and the intensity of my lessons. I make my lessons fun and varied in order to keep all participants interested and keen to progress. I love when a student shows desire to be the best they can be.
I have 4 children of my own at various ages and I am very aware of how learning is different for everyone. I am a very friendly and approachable teacher, for adults and children. I can also be firm and fair when I need to be. My main objective as a teacher is to bring the best out of all individuals and inspire them to achieve their goals.
