Who is this programme for?
Has your child reached the point where standard weekly lessons are no longer stretching them, but they are not looking for the pressure or commitment of competitive club swimming?
The Junior Advanced Programme bridges that gap.
This structured 1 hour weekly session allows confident swimmers to continue improving in a focused, purposeful environment. The emphasis is on refining technique, building stamina and maintaining fitness, while still enjoying swimming alongside like minded peers.
Sessions are disciplined and physically demanding, designed to stretch capable swimmers and improve efficiency, endurance and stroke quality over meaningful distances.
By the end of each term, swimmers move through the water with greater control, improved stamina and stronger technical foundations.
Student Requirements
This programme is recommended for swimmers aged 10 years and above.
Students should have completed ASA Stage 7 or be able to swim a consistent 200m front crawl with good technique.
Sessions are designed for confident swimmers who are comfortable swimming lengths independently and are ready for longer, fitness based sets.

Our ESA coaches deliver purposeful, well planned sessions that combine technical refinement with stamina development.
Swimmers continue to improve efficiency, control and overall fitness while maintaining enjoyment and long term engagement with the sport.
The goal is steady, meaningful progression in a positive, well managed environment.
Longer pools for technique and stamina development
Sessions take place in 25m pools at Bottisham and Abbey Leisure Pool.
The longer pool format supports sustained swimming, improved rhythm and better stroke control over distance, helping swimmers build both fitness and technical consistency.
